Autumn Paddleboarding At Owen Beach in Tacoma, WA
Owen Beach at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma is a great place year around. Hike along the scenic waterfront promenade to the Boathouse Marina, have a picnic, view ferry boats and fishing craft, or rent a kayak for a few hours of leisure paddling on the sound ( during summer months ).It was 3 years ago at this very place I learned about stand up paddleboarding ( SUPing ).
Last sunny but cold Saturday , I returned for a short "get to know this place better " trip...
