Made famous by it's largest hot springs pool in the world, this little adventure hub offers a lot more than just relaxing in it's hot mineral waters. For over a century, visitors from around the globe have added Glenwood Springs to their travel itineraries.

And there is a reason for that !

Glenwood Springs is family friendly, affordable, and blessed with a remarkable mix of geological wonders including hot springs, vapor caves, two rivers and a canyon, surrounded by the glorious Rocky Mountains.

Glenwood Springs offers a variety of outdoor activities, but you can find adventure without even leaving the town !

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park & Historic Fairy Caves is this Western-themed adventure park perched at an altitude of 7,160 feet on the side of Iron Mountain with breathtaking view of surrounding mountains.

Just to get there is an adventure of its own !

The Park Entrance has a state-of-the-art European pulse gondola design, one of the first ever installed in the United States. Visitors experience a towering panoramic view of thespectacular Rocky Mountain scenery as they skim over the tops of the trees, up to the top of Iron Mountain and the entrance to Glenwood Caverns and Historic Fairy Caves.

After visitors debark from the tramway gondolas, they're rewarded with a full day of excitement and exploration that will guarantee to bring out a kid in everyone !

The only adventure park located on top of a mountain, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park features several scream-worthy thrill rides that will get your adrenaline pumping and have you coming back for more. The three most amazing ones are :

Cliffhanger Roller Coaster – Heart-stopping drops and cliff-side curves that lean out over Glenwood Canyon are a mainstay on the highest elevation roller coaster in North America.

Giant Canyon Swing -- This swing launches you out over Glenwood Canyon, 1,300 feet above the Colorado River at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.

Soaring Eagle Zip Ride -- Feel the wind on your face on the two-person, seated zip ride as you smoothly soar 625 feet down the mountain, just like an eagle.

But the park's main attractions remain its beautiful and mysterious caverns.

In the late 1800s, Charles W. Darrow discovered a cave system on Iron Mountain after hearing the mountain "whistle". The source was the cave mouth and in 1895 Darrow opened up the caves to the public.

USA Today has rated Glenwood Caverns "One of the top 10 Places to go Underground!" And, because it's always a comfortable 52 degrees, it's great any time of year.

Experience two incredible walking tours:

The Historic Fairy Caves Tour is takes you through the original Fairy Caves. Experience rich history and the beauty of rooms originally discovered in 1897. You'll be amazed at what's hidden beneath the surface of Iron Mountain!

The King's Row Tour brings you 150 feet below to the most highly decorated cave room in the state, filled with cave formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, soda straws and cave bacon :
