While many folks have heard the expression "bucket list" before, I don't think it was that well known before the epic movie ( "The Bucket List " ) came out in 2007. It received mixed reviews from film critics, but many people ( including myself ) found the movie to be a source of inspiration, and cool ideas.
Before that, I didn't even dream of a possibility to travel around the world ( or anywhere ! ), jumping out of an airplane, and creating the life worth remembering. But in 2009 when I was diagnosed with bipolar/ADHD, I made a conscious decision to change my life around. I wanted to make the rest of my life the best of my life !
As Oscar Wilde once said: "To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all."
I didn't want to just exist, I didn't want to just get by, I didn't want to live the life of quiet desperation. I spent a lot of time reading books on self-help, personal development, positive psychology, and goal setting. And the most important lesson I learned was about the importance of setting clear, written goals. Until you write it down, until you take massive actions, until you're being consistent, and persistent, your goals will forever remain your dreams.
Since 2009 this blog has served me as my personal life journal, my way of keeping myself accountable, and as my personal example to inspire others to live a happy, healthy, and adventurous life.
Many of my goals took me years to accomplish, many of my dreams are yet to come true. But one thing for sure - your dreams don't work unless you do !
Many people underestimate the power of goal setting. From my personal experience, I can say that your goals/dreams/desires will shape your life !
"The Bucket List" movie was a wake up call for me. It made me realize that you don't have to be diagnosed with a life threatening disease, or lose you job, or experience any other hardship to change your life around. Also, you don't have to wait for the perfect moment. Decide what you want now, and take actions !
Unlike many people online, I talk the talk, and I walk the walk. I live my life by example.
I'm here to encourage, motivate and guide ordinary people, just like YOU to do extraordinary things.
Check out some of my adventures I accomplished , and crossed off My Bucket List.
Thank you,
