Adventure goals, dreams, plans for 2010

With the new year in full gear, it’s not only a time of reflection but a time to look forward and plan for the coming year. I always plan more and bigger trips than I can pull off. But the act of researching and setting the goal is almost as fun as acting on it. So, without further ado, here are just a few ( the full list is too long ) of my 2010 adventure "goals" :

Activities that I want to try :

- Whitewater kayaking
- Bungee jumping
- Parasailing
- Hot air ballooning
- Dog sledding
- Kitesurfing
- Paintballing

Washington places I want to visit:

- Westport ( surfing)
- San Juan Islands ( kayaking )
- The Olympic coast ( backpacking )
- Mt Baker, Adams, Shuksan ( mountaineering)
-Southeast Washington ( camping at Palouse State Park, rafting Hells Canyon)

U.S Travel :
- next new year celebration at the Times Square in NY
- Mardi Gras in New Orleans ( I guess I still have a couple years to "get wild ")
- Grand Canyon ( hike rim-to-rim)
- Hawaii ( do absolutely nothing ! just relax ! who am I kidding ? Hiking a volcano, surfing/SUPing on Oahu's North Shore )
- Alaska ( wow ! where do I start ? Do...everything ! Ultimately , climb Mount McKinley )

So, what do you think ? Very cliche' ? Nothing original ?

What about you? What are your goals? Whatever they are, don’t forget to make them big. You’ll never reach a goal if you don’t set it. Even if it doesn’t come to fruition in 2010, you’ll have the planning done and be ready to pounce when the time is right.

That is quite a list for 2010! I'll be lucky to "complete 3 months of P90x from home" =D

We would love to have you drop in and say, "Hi" during your visit to Hells Canyon. Before you arrive, we can help with any planning around where to stay, eat and play. Find us Facebook, Twitter or our web site to check us out.

Have a great day -
@HellsCanyon

Motorcycle coast to coast on a pre 1915 motorcycle. I don't have a pre 1915 motorcycle or a sponsor, but I'm looking. If you make it to New Orleans, look me up. http://www.motorcyclecannonball.com/routes.shtml

Hells Canyon, thanks for your comment ! ( I am sure you can complete P90x; I looked into it myself, but figured I could do the same on my own).
I found several Hells Canyon raft companies on Facebook. Which one is you ?

Mary, I would love to gor fo a road trip coast to coast myself( motocycle, bike, car, anything !).
One of my BIG new year goals - learn how to ride a motocycle!
Buying Harley by the age of 40 ( OK, may be more like 50 :)) is "for sure" ( actually, this is the reason I came to this country, after watching " HD and Marlboro Man" ).
And I sure hope to get in touch with you , once I am in New Orleans! Thanks !

That's a long list! Some of my goals and plans are hike down and backpack to the bottom of the grand canyon and backpack on the great wall.

Hmmm... Actually, its a short version of my "Bucket List ".
BTW, it only take about 7 days to hike rim-to-rim !
The Great Wall (of China ) ? Yep, on my list. With a side trip to Shaolin Temple ( childhood dream !)
