2015 Bucket List Goals Achieved; Plans For 2016

I want to start this blog post with a joke :
"My goal for 2016 is to accomplish my goals from 2015...which I should have completed in 2014...because I planned them in 2013.
The past few years working on my Bucket List taught me a lot about goal setting.

First, I realized  that not all goals are created equal. Some are more realistic and achievable than others, some take more time, planning, and execution , and some goals simply require more money that you expected. Second, I learned that there were no "non-achievable" goals. There are goals that simply don't inspire. And third, no matter what, sooner or later, one way or another, ALL DREAMS COME TRUE !

Just like the previous 2 years, 2015 was not an easy one. Just like I planned last year, I made online marketing my full time job ( haven't had a single part-time job ! ). I started tons of new online projects. Some worked great, others not so good, while most  failed miserably or abandoned half way.

The biggest 3 business goals I had since 2013 have come true this year ! I started my own brand

Started my own adventure company "Seattle Kite, Surf, Paddle" to teach kite lanboarding, SUP surfing, and land paddling in Washington state.

Went back to fitness industry to start on/offline project to introduce my ExtraHyperActive Fitness System to help people live a happy, healthy, and adventurous life.

I've never considered myself to be a travel writer, or even a travel blogger. Since the very beginning, my main goal was to share the stoke of fitness, and adventure travel with others.

When I started traveling more, lot's of people started asking how I could afford to do that. Though I'd been making money online for quite some time, I'd never thought of teaching others how to do that. I never wanted to turn into another "online gure".

But recently, it seems like the number of "online marketers" has grown like the mushrooms after the rain. Yet, when you ask them about their business model, or what exactly they do/sell, they can't answer.

That's why I decided to start my own network of people who want to live an active lifestyle, and who want to start their own online business based on their love and passion for adventure travel, fitness, and the outdoors.

So my 3 big business goals for 2016 are :

  1. To turn my brand into a franchise opportunity
  2. Get into online ( fitness/personal development ) training, and coaching
  3. Help others reach their dreams, and potentials

Now that we're done with my "boring business goals", I want to tell you about my 2015 adventure travel goals that I knocked off my Bucket List :

I finally visited Colorado ! And it was epic !

During my visit I got to try ski-biking at Vail ! On the down side, I didn't get to visit and ski in Aspen :(  Also, it looks like they shut down speed riding classes that I was so excited to try.

Also, while in CO, I got to go back into ice climbing

Just like I planned last year, I did more kiteboarding, and surfing, and looks like my son caught my adventure travel bug !

After going scuba diving with sharks in Florida's Aquarium, I wanted to do that in ours. Not only did I achieve that goal, but I also introduced my son to scuba diving in Point Defiance Aquarium.

Though I didn't get to go back to rock climbing, my son sure loved the experience at Seattle REI, and on local climbing walls.

I put "Try paintball" on my Bucket List in 2010, and this year, not only did I get to try it, but played it with my son !

I got a taste of fly-fishing a couple years ago, and absolutely loved it ! Though I didn't have a chance to do more fly-fishing, my son, not only tried it, but caught his very first  fish !

As I wrote above, some goals simply don't inspire. I really wanted to learn sailing, and take classes with my son, but after our "sailing misadventure" on the famous historic tall ship Lady Washington ( yes, the one that was featured in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl ), we both were a bit disappointed with sailing.

When it comes to goal setting, this year I've also realized that some goals are simply not meant to be achieved. This summer, we were really looking forward to our tip to Chelan, Wa where we were planning to go camping, parasailing, jetskiing, and exploring. But due to a horrible forest wild fire we had to leave after just one day. Yet, this experience taught me that if you don't reach your goal the first time, try again. Washington's North Central area is absolutely amazing, and we're definitely going back next summer !

Now that we're done with 2015, what are my plans for 2016 ?

Well,, that's the reason I started this post with a joke. There are still so many things that I planned to do back in 2010 in Washington state that I still haven't had a chance to accomplish. Plus, my Bucket List on Pinterest will keep me busy for the next few years !

But in general, the last two years made me realize that all I want is to live a happy, healthy, and adventurous life !!!
